About the student…..
Q: What is your instrument and why?
A: I play the clarinet. Mrs. Huckabee told me I should play it.
Q: Why did you join band?
A: My sister did band and I thought it looked cool and it is.
Q: What is the atmosphere in band for you?
A: It’s nice and pretty chill. It’s like a safe space for me so I can forget about school stuff.
Q: How are your feelings toward Band so far?
A: I love it a lot. It gives me something to do with my time and it’s so fun
Q: If you could switch instruments, what would it be and why?
A: I’m learning a mallet instrument for FIP, so I’d probably switch to xylophone or marimba
Q: Do you enjoy band competitions?
A: Yes. I love performing on the field at competitions. It’s not the same feeling as a performance at a football game because many people don’t pay attention to the show, but at a competition people are there to only watch shows.
Q: Do you plan on staying in band for your whole high school time here?
A: Yes. It’s one of the best things about my high school career.
