Cheatham-White Scholarship

A merit based scholarship for  students attending North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University or North Carolina Central University.  Apply online at either university’s website.

Golden Leaf Scholarship

For NC residents in certain counties, including Macon county.  Four year renewable scholarship.

Video Game Design Scholarship

Seniors interested in a degree in simulation and video game design should check out William Peace University in Raleigh, NC.  Scholarships available for students with GPAs of 2.5 and higher.  See Mrs. McCall in the guidance office.

Gene and Lee Meyer Scholarship:
Amount: $2000 renewable for 3 more years
Applicants must obtain good moral characters, minimum of 3.0 weighted GPA, demonstrate a financial need, leadership and community service experience, and extracurricular activities.

Harry W. Clarke memorial Scholarship:
Amount: $1000.00
Applicants must attend a North Carolina Two-year community college. Selection criteria include: financial need, academic ability/achievement, good moral character, and community experience.

Ione M. Allen Music Scholarship:
Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement with high personal character and leadership skills. Applicants must major in Music and be planning to attend a musical conservatory or other educational institution, wherever situate, which shall have a music department of recognized standing. Applicants must demonstrate a musical aptitude. Semi-finalists will be interviewed by the Scholarship Selection Committee, and will present a 5 minute musical performance.

NC Motherless Daughters Scholarship:
This scholarship is designed for young women who have had the unfortunate loss of their mother.
Applicants must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher, must have acceptance and intention to attend a four year university. Applicants must present a competed application including a brief essay and letter of recommendation from guidance counselor, teacher, or community mentor.

North Carolina Association of County Veterans Service Officers Memorial Scholarship:
Amount $1000.00 (one time)
Applicants must be a high school Senior and the child of an honorably discharged veteran residing in the state of North Carolina.
Questionnaires in the guidance office must be completed and returned to the Veterans’ Service office in Macon county for consideration.

North Carolina Divisions of Veterans Affairs Scholarship:
Applicants must have a veteran parent that was a legal resident of NC at the time of said veteran’s entrance into the period of service in the Armed Forces during which eligibility is established or the applicant is the natural child or adopted child of an eligible veteran and was born in NC and has been a resident of NC continuously since birth.

SVA Raytheon Patriot Scholarship

The program is open to Students who are entering in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of undergraduate study, or be enrolled in a graduate program.
