Phil Drake is the founder, president, CEO, and Chief Architect for Drake software. Mr. Drake graduated from Franklin High School in 1969 and went to WNC University. Before Mr. Drake made Drake Software he taught to high school. When he decided to start Drake Software he went into debt for buying computers. He got out of the $100,000 debt somehow and his company is doing great. Mr. Drake helps fund local businesses. Today the Drake Empire consists of- Drake Income Tax and Accounting, The Fun Factory, Drake Software, WPFJ Radio, WNC Sports Zone, Dalton’s Christian Book Store, Macon Printing, PRemiere Marketing Franklin Golf Course, DNET Internet Services, Basalm West Fiber Net, TechPlace, The Smokey Mountain Center for the Performing Arts, EPS Financial, GruntWorx, Stellar Financial, Sylvan Sports, Galaxy Digital, Drake Capital, and many more.
