High school is a busy, scary, overwhelming place, but people like Maddi make it a lot easier. Though Maddi says what makes High school really daunting is “All the people and all the older kids that are mean. It’s a new place and it was a big school at first.”

As people say, every kid needs a plan after high school. “I think I want to live here, but I want to work somewhere else. I might have to move, I don’t know. Just depends on where I get a job.”

A career choice is also important to have. “I want to be a Neonatal nurse. A nurse that takes care of premature babies. Like babies that are addicted to drugs and make sure they’re fed, help them get off the drugs.”

High school is pretty hard but some would argue that middle school was a little more confusing. But there are always little blips of joy in every moment. “Oh gosh, probably when Mr. Greenwood pretended he was throwing hand sanitizer in my mouth. *laughs*”

There are ways to improve most things, the school system is a highly debated one. “How to live on your own. How to do your taxes, they don’t teach you how to do your taxes. They teach you common core. *laughs* How to cook, we almost burned down our kitchen. This girl thought it was a good idea to take the water hose thingy and spray it all over. We had a hot griddle there and it was like *makes burning/exploding noise*.”

Not everyone that has lived here in Franklin has lived here all their life. Surprising right? “Yes, except for two years which I lived in Ohio. Because my dad thought it was a good idea. We got there and it was awful, so we moved back. People are rude. It was just not our thing, we have family here. We don’t really have very much family where we were.”

2018 was an, interesting, year. “The floss, it got annoying seeing everyone do it no matter where you were.” Kids dream of being president all the time. “I would give homeless people houses and food.”

Animals have always been talked about in terms of what would happen if they could talk. As in any society, there would be the rude and the kind. “I don’t know, I think a hamster would be pretty nice, because they’re just little furry animals and want to be loved. I think the meanest would be a cat, they’re so aggressive”
