278 women wrestlers converged to Greensboro this weekend (Feb. 4th-5th) to compete in the NCHSSA Women’s Wrestling State Tournament. One of those teams that made the trip to compete were our very own Franklin Women’s Wrestling Team. This team in the first women’s wrestling team in Franklin history as well as the first women’s team from Franklin to go compete at the state tournament. After three months of hard work they all qualified for state.
Abby Carpenter finished 5th
Abbigayle Stilwell finished 6th
Jasmine Valencia and Samantha Collins also wrestled.
