SCC College Courses

Did you know that FHS offers Southwestern Community College courses as part of a dual enrollment program?

Franklin High School offers SCC classes for students to take during the school day, meaning being involved in a dual enrollment program. FHS offers a variety of community college courses depending on the needs of the students.  **These courses vary each year.

If you are interested in enrolling in a SCC online course, there will be some requirements. First you will need to meet with Mrs. Pam Roper, FHS Assistant Principal. In order to qualify you need to have a minimum 3.0 GPA. They will also look at test scores. If your test scores aren’t up to the requirements you may be able to take the SCC Placement Test.

If you are interested in taking a face to face class (not online) at SCC, you have to be a Junior or Senior. You will need your own transportation.  Tuition is free, but you will have to pay for books. If you would like to meet with April McNiff, who helps get you registered for online classes and classes at SCC, you will need to schedule an appointment in the Guidance office. She is here on Mondays.
