Trade and Industrial

Trade and Industrial Education prepares students for careers in U.S. Department of Education career clusters. Students participate in instructional units that educate them in standardized industry processes related to concepts, layout, design, materials, production, assembly, quality control, maintenance, troubleshooting, construction, repair and service of industrial, commercial and residential goods and products.

Welding I

This course covers basic industrial and construction welding practices, characteristics, and entry level skills. Topics include safety, tools and equipment, measurement, thermal cutting processes, base metal preparation and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). Arts, English, Language Arts, Mathematics, and Sciences are reinforced.

Welding II

This course covers basic industrial and construction welding practices, characteristics, and entry level skills. Topics include safety, tools and equipment, measurement, thermal cutting processes, base metal preparation and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). Arts, English, Language Arts, Mathematics, and Sciences are reinforced. 

Welding III

This course is designed to continue the development of advanced welding and cutting practices used in industry and construction and emphasizes hands-on experience. Further emphasis is palced on topics covered in Welding Technology II, and more, such as safety, weld fit-up and testing, metal properties, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux cored arc welding (FCAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW). Arts, English, Language Arts, Mathematics, and Sciences are reinforced. 

Drafting I

This class offers a combination of mechanical, computer-aided drafting and design skills for application in the fields of engineering, fashion design, interior design, landscape design and other professions utilizing computer aided design techniques. This is the introductory course for pre-engineering and architectural design but can be used for careers in related industries. 

Drafting II & III

These classes move more to house styles and functions. How each house part or system works in conjunction with each other to form the complete home environment.
