Teacher of the Week: Tres Rogers

Mr. Tres Rogers is a teacher in our vocational department at FHS. He was chosen as our Teacher of the Week. Let’s get to know him.

Q: Do you have any heroes?

A: My parents and grandparents are my heroes because they have always influenced me in a positive direction.

Q: What were your childhood dreams?

A: My childhood dreams were to play college basketball and to be a positive influence on society.

Q: Are you happy so far with what you have achieved by being a teacher?

A: Yes and no. I think I have impacted some kids lives but there is still a lot of work to do.

Q: Why did you choose to teach drafting?

A: Drafting chose me.

Q: What was college like for you?

A: College was fun but also busy. It was hard to balance school and athletics.

Q: When have you been then most satisfied with your life?

A: I’ve been satisfied with my life since I graduated college.

Q: What’s your spirit animal?

A: An eagle because they are a symbol of longevity, strength and power.

Q: How do you feel about Harambe?

A: I think the zoo should’ve done more to keep people out of the enclosure but the child’s life is more important than the gorillas if it came down to it.

Q:Whats your favorite song?

A: Jesus loves me.

Q: Who’s your favorite band?

A: The Eagles.
