Dylan Garcia was chosen for RedOnline’s Student Spotlight because of her friendliness to people and her ability to make people laugh. She also puts in the work and is a great basketball player. Her best friend is Chesnie Berry, and she means so much to Dylan, that she said if there was only one piece of pizza left, she would give it to Chesnie. Dylan looks up to her Coach Bekah Brooks because she said: “I really want to look as good as her when I am pregnant”.

If she had to pick between LeBron James and Stephen Curry, she would pick Stephen Curry because he is better at basketball, and way better looking. Dylan said she volunteers occasionally at different places. Whatever place crosses her mind first. Some of her hobbies include binge watching “The Office”, running for fun, and being a makeup fanatic. She was asked what her favorite memory was of this year’s basketball team, and her response was that she packed a girl’s pass on a fast break, and the referees called a foul on it, and her coach couldn’t stop laughing at their mistake.

Dylan said that her favorite memory at FHS was dropping the food she was on her way to give to a teacher, on the stairs. The movie “It” would be greatly improved if it was a musical according to Dylan. A connotation of a basketball team to her is a group of girls who love each other and are willing to kick some butts together to win.

The final question was ” If your five-year-old self suddenly found themselves inhabiting your current body, what would your five-year-old self-do?” Her answer was ” I would dunk on my five-year-old friends and terrorize the playground.”
