Meet the Cheerleaders
November 4, 2020
Q: What’s your name and what grade are you in?
A: My name is Bailey and I am a junior
Q: What have the cheerleaders been working on this season with COVID?
A: We’ve been practicing our Volleyball cheers, we’ll start Soccer and Cross Country cheers soon. We also have our choreography for competition, just without stunts.
Q: How long have you been in cheer?
A: Since freshmen year
Q: Are you a main, side or back base when you would usually do stunts?
A: Back base
Q: Do you have a job? If so, is it harder to maintain school, cheer and a job this year?
A: I do have a job, it can get difficult sometimes because I have to go to work straight after school and then I have to get off of work early to go to practice even if I’m already tired. I also can’t get my work done sometimes.
Q: Do you have any other interests besides cheer?
A: Not really, cheer takes up all of our time.
Q: How has COVID personally affected your cheerleading career?
A: I started focusing more on my flexibility and my jumps since we have no stunts this year, we have to do more jumps, dancing and tumbling to make up for it.
